A hand thrown vase decorated with very unique colours and texture of Western raku technique.
Raku is a Japanese traditional pottery technique, and the pieces frequently used on the Japanese tea ceremony. This technique was imported to Europe and evolved to what is nowadays known as the Western Raku technique.
'Hoshikuzu' means Milky Way in Japanese.
Some parts of the glaze is very delicate and may peal off, however that is the character of the glaze and the piece.
Raku glaze is not waterproof.
