Baboon Plate

Baboon Plate

This plate is made with the traditional Japanese technique Inbante, which is a printing method where patterns printed on washi paper are transferred to the piece in porcelain before glazing.

Traditionally the small plate is typically used as dinnerware, but with the beautiful print the plate sits equally well on the desk or just on its own on the table top.

Note that irregularities tend to arise during the hand print method, which is the beauty of each piece.

Made in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan.
